The wine was actually the worst I had had the entire trip. I guess she assumed we would look at the tasting menu? The small plates were "ok", but overall, definitely not worth $60/person. Hosting up to 200 guests, the indoor-outdoor venue has everything you need for your special day. Francis are decidedly chic, but have a classic feel and unmatched views of gorgeous wine country. For one of the wines, she just came to the table and poured, not explaining what is was, the year, etc. Reservations to visit the Scribe farm are only open to members of the Scribe Viticultural Society. We were not given any information about the history of the winery. Scribe Winery’s offerings include the 2013 Estate Chardonnay (left), 2015 Skin Fermented Chardonnay, 2014 Estate Pinot Noir and 2013 Atlas Peak Syrah. Every year Mariani feeds the thousands of day-tripping, wine-sipping millennials who flock from the Bay Area to her family’s wineryand she uses only the most common of tools: cast-iron pans. It is obviously a very hipster/California casual vibe, but the waiter/waitresses took that vibe and ran. We were pleasantly greeted upon arrival, but after we were seated, the service turned to terrible. My brother got married here so we got a little special treatment, but this place is definitely one of the best.
